mount command for a flash drive

This command, for mounting my flash drive used to work:
hebrews:/home/edhe# mount -t vfat -o uid=edhe.gid=users /dev/sdb1

BUT BOW:
/home/edhe/flashhebrews:/home/edhe# mount -t vfat -o uid=edhe.gid=users /dev/sdb1 /home/edhe/flash
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdb1,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so

hebrews:/home/edhe# dmesg | tail

Read your own output. You can't use those options with FAT filesystems. Take them off and it looks like it should work.

Those are valid options for a FAT filesystem but if the command in the post is a copy/paste then your problem is a syntax error. You used a period instead of a comma.

michaelk, you were right. A period, where there should have been a comma. Thank you.
