module not loading at startup


Im running a Nforce 2 board and my audio and network devices are not loading at boot time.. i can get my onboard nic to work by modprobing forcedeth then "/eth/init.d/networking restart" but im not sure about my sound.. so im wondering how can i get these to load at boot?

man modules
The /etc/modules file contains the names of kernel modules that are to
be loaded at boot time, one per line. Arguments can be given in the
same line as the module name. Comments begin with a `#', and everything
on the line after them are ignored.

ok thanks, i got that working now i just dont know what the module for the audio is.. i tryed modprobe nvaudio but no luck so im not sure whatelse it could be, any ideas?

try googling for the module that your card needs. OR, you could look through the HCL (hardware compatibility list) here on linuxquestions to see if they have your motherboard and/or audio chipset listed.
