Question missing lilo.conf after installation

Hi,
I'm missing /etc/lilo.conf after reinstalling the system. When starting my computer, lilo seems to be running perfectely.
Does any one know if it can be put somewhere else. When I run lilo it gives me an error that the file is missing. Should I simply write one myself?

Thank for any help

No I don't have it. When I boot my system, I have lilo boot menu, but I want to modify it before upgrading the kernel.
