minimal whhezy installation on 1GB flash drive

hi

I'd like to install minimal wheezy with X window on 1GB flash drive.
Which xorg packages do I need for a really minimal installation?
Is it enough to install just xserver-xorg pekwm to boot X window automatically?

Why not spend a few $$ on a larger flash drive? 8gb drives cost less than $10 these days.

1gb is the recommended bare minimum for a non-GUI base install of Debian. Running a Linux system with only the absolute bare minimum hardware is never fun.

Or just install Puppy (100mb), SliTaz (35mb), or Tinycore (8mb) and then you'll have lots of space on your 1gb.

It's a Wyse thin client and I cannot change the flash drive.

My mistake; I heard "flash drive" and assumed "cheap USB thumb drive."

Here is a nice guide to minimal Ubuntu install that I think should also work well for Debian: http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/minimal

(Note that I am not recommending Ubuntu/Debian for 1gb, simply giving you resources to make your own decision.)

Why not run it as a thin client as it was designed?
