Midi in Kguitar

Hallo,
I have installed KGuitar and I am very happy with it. The only problem I find is that I cannot play midi files.
How can I configure KGuitar to play MIDI files ?
When I launch the program it says
Code:
kguitar: cannot create MIDI Scheduler
kguitar: ERROR opening MIDI device / Music can't be played
For the moment, the only way I found to play midi files on my system is to use timidity.

Thanks for your help

Unfortunately playing MIDI files is the trickiest part of Linux unless you use timidity++.

I haven't been able to solve the problem in any other way except use the software synthesizer. There might be specific sound cards which have hardware wavetable which works with MIDI, but I haven't had any of them. For years, I have tried but there seems to be no solutions to this I'm afraid.

Unhappy

Oh, no!!!
You mean no midi for me?

Do you think there could be a way or redirecting the midi output to timidity++ a bit like artsdsp redirects the sound to arts?

Thanks for your answer.
