Medical : can I have a deb of this application for Debian Stable
 

Hi,

I would be pleased to someday see that Debian Stable can also offer Medical solutions.

Please would you mind creating a deb for me of this application and storing it into the debian stable repositories?

Debian Stable is released. According to the Debian philosophy not one package will be added, removed or upgraded, except for security fixes.
So, no, no one will add those programs to Debian Stable.
I had a look at the downloaded code, using it on Debian should be fairly easy. At first use your package manager to install the package build-essential. If that is done, copy the downloaded code to your home-directory, extract it and launch the command make in the directories heart-file-analyzer and qhm. After that you should have executable programs in those directories.

Linux Heart Monitor : An ancient application, no updates since 2004.
Can be compiled on Debian Etch, with g++ version 3.3.6.
( The original binary 'qhm', included in the source package,
works on the most 32bits Linux OS. The included 'heartfa' doesn't.)

The package 'linuxheartmonitor-0.1_i386.deb' works OK on Debian 5 Lenny.
Squeeze test : I have no 32bits Debian Squeeze, only the 64bits version.

Can I have a deb for the V4L-DVB for Debian Stable?
 

Hi,

For DVD visibly Debian is not supporting a lot of models (actually very few) and the V4L-DVB is not available in the repositories.

If you are capable to compile, would you mind releasing the deb for users of Debian (not involved into dev,simple users) ?

Really? Such as? Do you have a specific problem?

What exactly are you looking for? Is it not in
/lib/modules/$(uname -r)/kernel/drivers/media/dvb ?
