I've just intsalled debian sarge 3.1 r2 and am trying to install fluxbox, its not connected to the net so apt-get is not an option. Is there a package that has everything fluxbox needs? I've tried to install/upgrade the dependencies but when i install a dependency it depends on something else etc etc.., i feel like i'm going in circles!!!!!
Which CD(s) did you use to install? It looks like fluxbox resides on the first full CD, so you should be able to use apt-get if you used the first full CD for installation (instead of the netinstall or minimal CD). Make sure it's part of your /etc/apt/sources.list
What I would really like is to have the debian base system and fluxbox, and ssh thats about it, could you help me with that? its not connected to the net so I can't reallay run apt-get, any ideas how i could do that manually?
As I asked before, what CD image did you use to install? Do you have all 14 CD's? Just the first couple? Or is it a netinstall type CD?
You CAN run apt-get without a network connection, but you have to have packages on a CD. And you have to add the CD to your /etc/apt/sources.list (which is why I asked you to post it).
