make install kernel error

Hi everyone,

I installed linux debian 7.3. During installation the network card was not recognized and I decided to install the driver later. After looking up my ethernet card and doing some research I downloaded the e1000e-3.1.0.2.tar.gz driver from intel and tried to install it with make install.
Unfortunately it responded with:

Makefile:67: *** Kernel header files not in any of the expected locations.
Makefile:68: *** Install the appropriate kernel development package, e.g.
Makefile:69: *** kernel-devel, for building kernel modules and try again.

uname -r -v gives me:
kernel 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.51-1

Can someone help me on this issue?

Thank you in advance.

Have you read the "README" file in the package?
You can download the header files from here not sure if you need dkms
https://packages.debian.org/wheezy/l...-3.2.0-4-amd64
https://packages.debian.org/wheezy/dkms
Read the list of deps
These are .debs so you can use gdebi to automatically install.

Hi,

are you sure you need to install the driver from intel? We can help you find the easiest way to get this device working if you can tell us what it is. The best way to do this is post the output of the following command.

Code:
lspci | grep -i net
Evo2.
