Mac G3 Lombard;Tiger or Deb Stable??

A client wants something clean & fast (as fast as possible, anyway) on his G3 Lombard 333 with 192MB RAM. It has Jaguar on it now, which really clunks. I felt that Deb stable with an appropriate kernel recompile & maybe some more RAM might be a better way to go. I've successfully installed Deb stable on a G3 Pismo 400 with 192MB RAM as a test, thanks to help here.

This machine will be used for light image management & brochure design. Although I love it, KDE might be too much of a WM on this, I think.

Any thoughts??

Yeah you can go with debian stable, its still pretty new now. I don't really know how the ppc kernels are, but i would go with a 2.6.10 or later (i have a 2.6.10 working fine on a 2x PII 450Mhz, 128mb ram, should give better support for new hardware and stuff). Altough for a desktop i personally would go for very light, like fluxbox or any blackbox derivative (works fine on a pentium pro 200mhz, with a PCI S3 trio card), but if they need a more friendly environment, probably gnome would be most like macos.
