After using synaptic to install available apps for using bluray, but it still not working and getting message to check log, I go to utilities and the log option, but no matter what I click to check for, nothing comes up. debian stretch
How do I access the required log info?
Shouldn't be synaptic since not in it; the log option came from the log symbol within 'utilities' which I assume is either kde or part of the debian os.
The log message am looking for came from the vlc when bluray failed to function.
You can set the location and verbosity level for the VLC log file like this:
Select Tools → Preferences from the menu (or type CTRL + P)
In the Show settings radio buttons at the bottom left of the preferences window, click 'All'
Go to Advanced → Logging in the preferences tree
According to the manpage, this is what the different levels of verbosity mean:
0 = silent
1 = info/warning messages
2 = debug
