libglib1.2 and aptitude in lenny

I'm trying to install 'libglib1.2' in lenny, and I get this from aptitude:

Code:
# aptitude search libglib1.2
c libglib1.2 - The GLib library of C routines
p libglib1.2-dbg - The GLib library of C routines (debug)
i libglib1.2-dev - The GLib library of C routines (developmen
i A libglib1.2ldbl - The GLib library of C routines
...but when I try to use aptitude to install the package, I get this:
Code:
# aptitude install libglib1.2
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Reading extended state information
Initializing package states... Done
Reading task descriptions... Done
Building tag database... Done
No candidate version found for libglib1.2
No candidate version found for libglib1.2
...
I don't get it. I tried 'aptitude update' first. That changed nothing. I looked at the BTS entry on the Debian web site. There's a new version of the file out. What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I get the same thing on my Lenny machine..

It looks like libglib1.2 is replaced with libglib1.2ldbl (it says so if you do a aptitude show libglib1.2ldbl), but libglib1.2 still shows up in our list because there are still some config files left from the old version, even if it is no longer available in the repositories.

edit: if you go to the PTS for the glib1.2 package, they released a new one yesterday for lenny. If you simply search for the package on the Debian site, there's no package available for lenny. Do I just wait a day or two? Theres also some note on the PTS about "override disparities found in suite unstable" but I don't know what that means.
