Question Led settings

After I open a console I get the following error:
---
KDGETLED: Invalid argument
Error reading current led setting. Maybe stdin is not a VT.
---
Have been roaming the internet for possible solutions, but can't find anything but references to IOCTL which do not help me thus far. I'm running Woody with a 2.4 Kernel

I'm assuming you're running in a GUI environment? If so, then you have something misconfigured for your keyboard in xorg.conf (or xf86config.conf).

Is this a new install? You may need to run xorgconf and change the keyboard definition for X

Arrow After I open a console I get the following error

Yep, it's a gui and it's a new install, on two machines I'm running XFree86, one with gdm and the other xdm as window manager and both show the same error in the console window. I use a Logitech Deluxe 104 keyboard and have it specified in the keyboard section of XF86config-4 as follows:

xdm and gdm:

Option "XkbRules" "xfree86"
Option "XkbModel" "pc104"
Option "XkbLayout" "us"

added to the xdm XF86Config-4

Option "Xleds" "1 2 3"

Didn't help much either ...

Rerunning xf86config gives me the same missery but for the Xleds, that row isn't included
