knoppix bug
I wasn't sure where to send the knoppix bug to, so I figured if I posted it someone could tell me.
When installing knoppix 3.3 on the hard drive, if there is a problem making your boot floppy (say it was write protected, in my case OOPPS!), the install does not prompt you to make another one, it simply finishes the install process. If the LILO install does not go well, getting back into knoppix can be a real PITA without a boot floppy!

There is the bugzilla and if lilo does not install properly then you can always boot the CD and mount the / partition of the install, chroot then install lilo.
Code:
sudo /dev/hd?? /mnt/hd??
sudo vi /mnt/hd??/etc/lilo.conf <---- if necessary
sudo chroot /mnt/hd??/ /sbin/lilo -v
Replace the ?? with the drive letter and partition number of the /. BTW I would say the problem is more operator error than bug at least that's what I thought when I forgot to push the floppy all the way in a few weeks ago and this happened.

Then all you have had to do was use the boot.img on the CD and make a boot floppy. In windows you would open the CD and use the mkfloppy.bat in the KNOPPIX directory that would make a boot floppy that you would then use to boot the CD then you would fix LILO. In linux you would mount the CD change to the directory and dd if=boot.img of=/dev/fd0 and you would have a boot floppy.

Could very well be a bug. I too wanted a boot floppy at the end of a hard drive install, put in a good floppy, an image was written, but after reboot Knoppix wasn't able to load the kernel.
