Knoppix 8.6: UEFI - redirect to ttyS0

Hello,

I installed knoppix 8.6 on a USB stick.

I modified /etc/inittab to redirect the console to ttyS0.
It works.

But when I booted with the same device but chose UEFI in the BIOS boot menu, the redirection does not work.

Can you please explain why ?

I need UEFI boot because I have to install grub 2.x on another stick.

Thank you in advance,
Zvika

Hello,

After booting Knoppix 8.6 (UEFI) from disk on key, I modified the file: /mnt-system/boot/syslinux/syslnx64.cfg
The default is linux64. I changed it to: linux64 2
And also modified /etc/inittab

Thank you,
Zvika
