kernel patching problem (fixed)

Hi

Im trying to patch kernel 2.6.9.

When im in /usr/src/linux-2.6.9 as root and typing "bzcat matroxfb-full-memory-linux-2.4.21-rc2.patch.bz2 | patch -p1" i get some errors:
Code:
a80-186-107-162:/usr/src/linux-2.6.9# bzcat matroxfb-full-memory-linux-2.4.21-rc2.patch.bz2 | patch -p1
patching file drivers/video/matrox/matroxfb_base.c
Hunk #1 FAILED at 671.
Hunk #2 FAILED at 1432.
2 out of 2 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file drivers/video/matrox/matroxfb_base.c.rej
What does that means?

Is it name of the patch, 2.4.21? Cause im under kernel 2.6.9 source tree?

When applying fusion-full-linux-2.6.9.patch.bz2 everything seems to work just fine. Here is output:
Code:
a80-186-107-162:/usr/src/linux-2.6.9# bzcat fusion-full-linux-2.6.9.patch.bz2 | patch -p1

this patch wont work because its for kernel 2.4.21. you need to get one for the 2.6.9.

Ok this seems to work:

Code:
a80-186-107-162:/usr/src/linux-2.6.9# bzcat matroxfb-full-memory-linux-2.6.6.patch.bz2 | patch -p1
patching file drivers/video/matrox/matroxfb_base.c
a80-186-107-162:/usr/src/linux-2.6.9#
Thanks for your help

There wasnt any other patch... ill hope that will work.
