kde applications without klauncher
I running fluxbox on debian. I log directly into fluxbox without and login manager.
If I try to execute some kde application, like konqueror it loads ok, but if for instance I want to browse to some website I get this error: Code:
An error occurred while loading http://yahoo.com: To solve it I have to run kdeinit.. Is there some way to avoid it? I don't want to load kde for just an editor... |
Hi
Have you got kdebase-kio-plugins installed ? Sls |
I solved the problem:
I had a borken ICEauthority file so what I did was: 1) closed all kde applications 2) rm -rf ~/.kde/tmp && rm -rf ~/.kde/sockets 3) rm ~/.ICEauthority And it worked ok after that. |
Congrats on the solving the problem alexrait1 and thanks for posting back with the solution that worked for you; it may be helpful to future readers with the same question -- J.W.
