kde applications without klauncher
I running fluxbox on debian. I log directly into fluxbox without and login manager.

If I try to execute some kde application, like konqueror it loads ok, but if for instance I want to browse to some website I get this error:

An error occurred while loading

Could not start process Cannot talk to klauncher.

The same happens when I open some file with kate/kwrite e.t.c

To solve it I have to run kdeinit.. Is there some way to avoid it? I don't want to load kde for just an editor...

Have you got kdebase-kio-plugins installed ?

I solved the problem:
I had a borken ICEauthority file so what I did was:

1) closed all kde applications
2) rm -rf ~/.kde/tmp && rm -rf ~/.kde/sockets
3) rm ~/.ICEauthority

And it worked ok after that.
