Question Kali Linux NOT Working!!!

Okay so I am currently running Windows 8 and have a Samsung Series 3 Laptop. Now, I already have Backtrack 5 r3 on a live dvd and it works perfectly. I can boot from the dvd with no problem. This is where I am:
1. I have secure boot disabled.
2. I have my boot priority set to dvd/cd first.
3. I used ISO Viewer to burn the image to the dvd.(also used ISO Viewer for backtrack 5)
4. I also have boot configuration set to csm and
uefi(not sure if i spelled that right)
5. I used the same type of dvd for Kali that I used for Backtrack 5.
6. I downloaded the 32 bit version of kali( same as backtrack 5)
When i start my computer, I hold f10 and the boot option screen pops up and i set it to boot from CD/DVD(the same as with backtrack.) With backtrack, it goes to the screen where it says booting, then it boots. But with Kali, it just goes straight to the Samsung screen and boots me into Windows 8. I have tried burning it to 4 different dvds(all the same brand: JVC) and every time I try to boot from one of the dvds, I does the same thing: It goes straight to the Samsung screen and boots me into Windows 8 as if the dvd was never there. Please help. but only if you really know what your talking about. I've checked just about every other forum on the internet and i can't find the answer so if you know the answer then please help me out.

Did you try booting (one of) the Kali DVD on another PC? If so, what happened? How did you make the Kali DVD(s)? Did the checksums match?

I made the Kali dvd's by first going on the official kali download website, downloaded the iso 32 bit verion, then use ISO Viewer to burn the iso image onto the dvd, it said download successful. What are checksums??

okay so i looked at the hashes and it looks like they are for Ubuntu. I thought kali had moved to Debian? are those hashes still valid for Debian operating systems also??

So if you don't know what checksums are why do you need kali again?

Germany_chris has indeed a point. Kali Linux is a distro made by network and security experts for network and security experts. If you don't know how to handle checksums it seems to be obvious that you are not part of the target group. You may want to consider to start with a desktop distro instead, so that you can learn the basics before jumping into the deeper water.

To your question regarding checksums, those checksums are not distro specific, but specific to the file you downloaded. At the site where you downloaded the ISO image you will find a file with the md5 checksum for that file. To test if your download was corrupted you have to use that specific checksum for that specific ISO image.

I just hate when people talk to people they don't know any kind of way. i mean i could be a serial killer for all he knows( i'm not but you get the point) but yeah anyways i found the right one so my question is solved.
