hi, LeftyAce!
hi, Zolex!
in order to keep your
testing distribution along with some
unstable packages i suggest that you modify your /etc/apt/preferences file like this:
Code:
Package: *
Pin: release a=testing
Pin-Priority: 800
Package: *
Pin: release a=unstable
Pin-Priority: 600
Package: k3b
Pin: release a=unstable
Pin-Priority: 1001
this way you'll get regular upgrades as apropriate for different packages. be careful not to miss adding necessary dependences according to the example. and to uncomment that line in the sources.list of course
now whenever you need something from unstable - just add the package entry to apt's preferences file with high pin priority and you're done!
another way to specify a target_release is the -t switch on the apt-get commandline. for details ask man (apt-get;apt_preferences)!
cheers,
vlado
