k3b in sarge and permission.

Hello!!

How can you fix the permission to the acces of burner in k3b on sarge 3.1 with kde3.3 on the boot?

In my case i must change the permissions in k3bsetup in all the boot.

Could please rephrase the question so somebody can actually understand what you are truing to do?

What do you mean by "all the boot" and "on the boot"? K3b doesn't have anything with the boot process.

Ok!!

When i start my computer i need to go to k3b setup to apply permission to my Cdrom writer.

I can't keep that permissions as default permissions.

I try to do an chmod 777 /dev/hdd where hdd is the name of my cdrom writer. But this change is not kept when i shutdown my pc.

Do teh following command as root:

dpkg-reconfigure cdrecord

When it asks you a question regarding SUID, answer yes. This should allow normal users in the cdrom group to run k3b.
