ISO image for snaptic repository

I have the Debian 5.0 DVD and fear it may be corrupted and I created iso image from the cdrom.

1. Now I am unable to add the iso image of Debian 5.0 as a source repo in snaptic or kpackage.

2. I even tried 'mount -o loop' command and still not able to use the mounted image as repository.

4. How do I use a iso image as a virtual cdrom device on Linux for softwares that require cdrom device.

4. I have installed Debian 5.0 on all PCs on my network. Is there a way to download the updates on a local PC and update all my network PCs from this repository like 'YUM' on Redhat/Fedora/CentOS?

Re: Q#4b You can use apt-move to create a local repository.
