Is there a GRUB GUI for KDE?

Hi,

Is there a GUI to edit GRUB in KDE?

I am running Kanotix installed on a second IDE drive with Windows XP on the first IDE drive.
I can't find anything on Google (unlesss I'm looking in the wrong places) for KDE but there is one for Gnome, which I don't like (sits back waiting for fits of apoplexy ).

I have tried a few distros in the past and the only one I could find a GRUB GUI on was SUSE, which I don't want to re-install just for the option to edit GRUB the easy way.

I am a relative newbie and the shell still scares the shit out of me!! If this is the only way to edit GRUB so Windows is the default I may have to re-install SUSE...or probably kill my system

If there isn't one is there a morons guide to editing GRUB that I can understand as most of the ones I've seen leave me needing lots of beer to recover!

Thanks in advance

You don't need a GUI. Edit the config by hand.

This may help:

Or any of these:

Get over it. When you see how easy this solution is you'll see that a GUI is not needed. That's why you can't find a GUI solution. There's no point.

Have fun.

The config is usually found in /boot/grub/menu.lst file.

If I can write a GRUB config front-end in my spare time, I'll do it. It might help some people.

I actually misspoke here sort of. The CLI or terminal is not needed. Just edit the file (as root) using kedit, krite, or kate. Any gui text editor will do.

Thanks guys, I did it...although I cheated by opening the file through Konqueror and doing an edit as root job in Kwrite!

Should there be any problems with doing it this way?

Again, thanks

Nope. I suggest trying many different editors. This is the short list:
