Rep:
Is pamusb being dropped form Debian?
I have a USB stick that always seems to be a bit too small (8GB) for everyday use so I thought I'd use it for passwordless login to my laptop (and, possibly, desktop). I found a tutorial and was then stopped in my tracks as it appears that pamusb is being dropped form Debian -- there's a "transitional package" to move from pamusb-tools to pamusb-common for stable and the relevant pamusb-common package but, after that, nothing.
Does anyone know whether there has been a name change that's not filtered through yet, or whether pamusb is simply being dropped for some reason?
Luckily this is just something I'm toying with the idea of using but I'd be interested to know.
Thank you, for some reason whenever I search for Debian packages I never find the relevant bug reports. Think I'm going to have to spend some time learning how to search Debian bug reports to avoid this in future.
Again, thanks for finding this.
Brilliant! Thanks again. It's a shame it's been removed and I can't play but, on the plus side, I never noticed that and I use the Debian package search all the time so this will help me no end in future.
