Question Is CUPS not installed by default?

I just finished a net install of Debian 3.1. Everything seems to be working fine except printing. Whenever I try to add a printer, I get an error message saying "CUPS client not found".

"su" to root and do "aptitude --with-recommends install foomatic-bin". This should install all the deeded packages for CUPS. If you have an Epson printer, install also the "cupsys-driver-gimpprint" package. You may have to reboot to get the CUPS server working.
