Distribution: RH for several years but never happy with it. Recently Ubuntu but changing to Debian.

Is an i5 a powerpc ?
Hi. I'm confused about architecture, specifically the term `powerpc'.
I've just acquired a new box with four i5-2400S processes which the manufacturer, Tranquil, describes as a 'ixLS Power PC’. Should I go for the powerpc installation? Or is this just copy-writers hype?
