Installing Whatsapp or Viber on Debian 32-bits (without Wine)?

Hello,

For skype, since people are moving slowing from Skype (forget linux voip), to whatsapp and Viber.

How to install those on a debian 32-bits?

Best regards

That tutorial should work on 32 bit and 64 bit Debian, since the Android emulator package is available on both (thanks I'd not realised there was an easily installed Android emulator):

Viber seems rather easy. The first hit from a Google search:

It does say 64-bit only in the system requirements. What I use is Google Hangouts. It runs on anything, and the quality is much better than anything else I've tried. I use Hangouts for video conferencing almost daily, with multiple participants. You can have up to 10 separate computers conferenced, and the quality doesn't seem to decrease with more participants. I regularly have two or more on the same local network, with no loss of video or audio quality. IMO that's the way to go, but some people are stuck on something else.

thank you about google !!

Which deb for google hangouts do you use?? Is this Google hangouts a possible replacement of ekiga and all those stuffs that never work?

Furthermore people using WINDOWS shall be using it, so there is on this planet only:

viber
skype
and whatsapp

Google hangouts is unknown, and furthermore it is not linux community, it is google and you, it summarizes everything.

Google Hangouts runs in Chrome browser. AFAIK you need Chrome installed, although I've never actually tried it with Firefox or anything else. You can access it through GMail or Google+ in a browser. It can do IM, SMS, and video chats. My daughter and son-in-law were seriously injured in a bus accident in Thailand, and Hangouts was our only reliable communication with them. We started with Viber text messages, and when they got to a hospital in Bangkok with wifi, went to Hangouts. The wifi bandwidth was limited, and Skype wouldn't work well enough to use. Hangouts always worked for video chats. IME it's by far the best and most reliable method of video chatting/conferencing. They had an iPad and iPhones, so I'm sure Hangouts runs on any platform, certainly on Android, Windows, Linux, and OSX. They still have iPhones and Macbooks, and we use Hangouts almost daily to see the grandson, often with several people in different locations.
