Installing PCMCIA Wireless Card in Debian netinstall

So I would like to use old Toshiba 4090XCDT for web browsing. It has 2GB HDD and 64 MB RAM with Intel Celeron Mendocino CPU i686 on 400 MHz. I bought Wireless Card T Sinus 111 PCMCIA (prism2 card) but it doesn't seem Linux recognize the card (tried lspci and iwconfig in slitaz and it said no wireless device, and in lspci it does recognize PCMCIA but no device attached to it). I tried to load a lot of drivers including orinoco prism2 driver but no success. The card is working fine under Windows XP, but it is too slow for this laptop. I would like to install debian with Xfce 4.3.90, Fluxbox or LXDE with GDM login manager and Thunar file manager via minimal (net install), but even when installation has finished offline, I still need to configure PCMCIA wireless card to fetch those packages. I heard about ndiswrapper but please can someone tell me how to use it. The laptop will be also used at university, so I would like to have graphical wireless utility and be able to easily connect to any air network. No time to play with command lines.

Thanks in advance.

You might take a look at ndiswrapper if you can find the Windows drivers for the card. I've used ndiswrapper successfully, but it can be whifty; I've also used it unsuccessfully.

Toshiba does not show in their list of PCMCIA devices, but that might not mean anything. The card may well have been manufactured by a third party and rebranded as Toshiba.

I didn't solve my problem. This thread is not mine but these are things I've tried http://forum.chip.de/linux/t-sinus-1...x-1593255.html and card won't wake up on ifconfig wlan0 up. I am getting same errors described in posted link. Ndiswrapper says invalid driver if I load windows xp inf driver. Thanks in advance.

Almost all the pcmcia boot stuff has been forgotten. It never did work for too many people so I'd forget the netinstall.

It might work under gpxe if you did a lot of work and (and) the motherboard has support. Some IBM laptops were the only ones I ever knew to have any sort of pcmcia boot support.
