installing my epson cx5400 in knoppix/debian
Hello, as you can tell I am a mandy10 user and I am trying knoppix/debian (hd install) flavor of linux. Everything is going well so far except I cannot install my epson stylus cx5400 (usb). I have tried almost all of the epson entries listed, still to no avail. I am using the knoppix/configure/configure printers route in trying to install. Distro installed is knoppix3.3, knoppix style IF this helps any at all. I am totally new to this sort of flavor of linux and its pretty different. I will provide additional info as needed (with help getting it.....lol).

A visit to linuxprinting.org is in order
If you haven't checked yet, there is info about the cx5400 at linuxprinting.org. They suggest you use the Epson Stylus C84 driver for it, although some said the C80 driver worked better for them. It appears to be supported directly in CUPS.
First, get the printer part of this multifunction device working. Then, tackle the scanner.
