Installing KDE via the DVD of Debian

G'day all just wanted to know whether I can install KDE along side GNOME in Debian Lenny? The reason I ask is Gnome was installed by default and I didn't get an option to install KDE during the text based setup. So I put in the dvd and to see if there was an option to install kde, and it does Install with KDE Environment (to that affect).

Would it currently erase the current Debian installation with Gnome or will KDE install as a second desktop option to use?

open you software manager put your disk in and in the software manager you will see desktops.
choose kde4 and sit back while it installs everything. now you will reboot. You will come to the GDM. Gnome Display Manager click the radio button choose kde then log in.
we have had the choice of running kde or gnome side by side since 1997 for me.
Mandriva is solid and Ubuntu I had some sound issues but worked it out.
Just remember The xorg runs the GUI (Graphical User Interface) Xorg could care less
what GUI you Use. The GDM just runs a script to start your GUI. Just another Program running in Linux.

Make sure if using the cd that the cd is check for software repository that is a default setting on most Ubuntu systems. But check any way or have a fast internet connection.
