Installation Problems

Hi, can anyone tell me what parameters need to give to bf24 to install at a lower resolution, or different number of columns/rows? vga=ask gives me the menu, but has no effect on the installer, and neither does vga=0/1/2/3/4/5/6.

Also, once installed, I assume i can specify rows/cols by adding vga=x to the lilo kernel parameters?

thanks.

hi,

a bit late, but i hope it is still helping.

in a reference book for suse 8.0, i found a matching table for your problem.

640x480 800x600 1024x768 1280x1024
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8 bit 769 771 773 775
15 bit 784 787 790 793
16 bit 785 788 791 794
24 bit 786 789 792 795

i tried it with my installation cd's for woody and it worked very well.
