installation of printer


I do have a HP deskjet D1360 and i am running sarge. could someone tell me how can i setup the printer to work under sarge?

Nearly all HP printers use hplip.

the hplip program came up with errors. i tried the cups installation and the prnter works fine(test page). how do i change the resolution? it has only 300x300 and 600x600. my printer has a 4800x1200 though
