Installation, cdrom not recognized...
Hey
I just wanted to install Debian Sarge and my CD-ROM is not recognized during installation (detecting hardware part).
Also have slackware and Ubuntu and both of them recognize this cd-rom without any problems, debian not...
I tried installing from cd1, no extra boot parameters...
What to do?

Have you tried the Debian netinst mini-cd?

No, haven't tried that yet...
thanks for the tip, will report back if something goes wrong about cdrom

Well using netinst cd also doesn't work... again, cd could'n be mounted... or did you mean something else then netinst cd?
i have no floppy on this pc so...

That's really odd. What kind of CD is it? IDE/SCSI? Something exotic?
