Install Fails

I downloaded the Sarge distro via bittorrent using the torrents found at http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/un...-amd64/bt-dvd/ . Everything downloads and burns fine. During the install however, when it begins installing the base system, I get an error such as "couldn't download apt" . The disk is in perfect condition. If I unmount the disk, and have it remount and scan, it will get past that specific part, then give an error about something else. I continue the process until it gets to a package that just wont install. Im not sure what to do. This has happened twice. I downloaded the images in Windows and burned, then I thought they were bad so In linux I redownloaded them and burned using a different app than in Windows and on different disks. Any help would be good.

Install the base-system with a net-install cd. After the obligatry reboot the install system wil ask you what repositories to consult, insert the disk and answer "CD-ROM". Not sure this will work, but for CD's it does

When I reboot, it doesnt ask for repisitories, it just goes right to a log in on the new system

Are you sure you've got the net-install cd and not disk 1 from the 14 cd-set? What happens if you give the command base-config from the CLI?
