Install Apache ONLY (without exim)

Hi All:

I would like to install the apache in the Debian 3.0r2 (kernel 2.4).

What I used is typing the command "apt-get install apache".
However, the apt install the exim mail server also.
If I remove the exim by apt, it removes the apache also.

What should I do if I just want to install the apache ONLY.

Thanks.

You can get the latest version of apache from:
http://httpd.apache.org

Why remove exim? Just configure it for local delivery only... Run eximconfig and choose option 4.
