Info: Debian Wheezy on the way
I was curious about the next testing codename after Squeeze becomes stable. I finally tracked it down. For those interested in such things here it is:

Thanks for posting jdk,I also wondered what the next Testing release was going to be called.
Now we know!. Good to see you back on the Debian forum by the way :hattip:. |
I think they need to get past the whole Toy Story thing. Move on to Doctor Who.
Debian release after Wheezy could be. Debian Dalek, Debian Cyberman, Debian Master... |

"What are you running now?"
"Wheezy." "Not surprised. Stop smoking. But I still want to know what you're running?" |
"I'm not running! I'm in a chair talkin' to you!" :D
(sorry, couldn't resist ;)) |
I'm waiting for the squeezy to wheezy upgrade how-tos.

No, seriously, I like Debian. I might dual-boot it again on my desktop with Slack, when Wheezy is released. 64-bit with multilib possibly.
|
I agree with the post to move to Dr. Who titles. I'd love to run Debian Sontaran
|
I don't think a farm of Debian boxen were used to render any CG on Dr Who...

Bondi,
I've seen the new BBC version of Sherlock Holmes (the one with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman) and felt the inspiration. Wouldn't it be wonderful if versions of Debian were codenamed after characters in S.H. I'd love to be running Debian Lestrade. Sounds so much better than Debian Wheezy. ;) Ciao, jdk |

Oh, and what the heck, leave the Toy Story name. I like them. But Dr. Who is a good idea. |
Why not Terminator names?
Sounds much better, as in "What are you running there?" "Debian T-1000" or "Debian T-Triple Eight" :) |
How about old games...
Debian BFG2K from Doom2...maybe not |
