imgSeek
why has this interesting program 'imgSeek' been removed from Debian:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugr...cgi?bug=595080 ? it is much more than a simple image viewer: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/natty/a...mgseek/0.8.6-4 |
that is explained, just read the links you posted. It is not maintained since 2010 (what I see) and therefore not really compatible with the new kernels and video drivers (whatever it needed).
|
I had read them, but didn't know such programs needed 'full compatibility' with kernel and drivers.
anyway, there aren't many (free) programs that can compare images in such way and find similar ? |
need to be recompiled for the (any) new platforms. Probably you can build it yourself.
|
imgseek is in the AUR.
the PKGBUILD therein gives useful hints about how to compile also for non-arch users. i just tried; it depends on postgresql, mariadb and qt3 (among other things) - no, i'm not going to do that. |
