icewm and launching programs

I'm having trouble adding programs that need to run in terminal windows to the toolbars, etc.

Example, I want to add the R statistical program to the menu. Since R runs in a terminal when I execute the command "R", I just try throwing "prog R /path/to/icon R" in the toolbar or whatever file. It shows up in the menu, but when I click it nothing happens.

This occurs for other programs that need to launch in a terminal window like vim, dict, etc.

I also tried "prog R /path/to/icon xterm;R" but I guess it doesn't "sequentially" launch programs.

How can I do this? I bet it's pretty easy.

Try this

prog xterm -e R path_to_icon

You may have to place quotes around xterm -e R

The icewm site seems to suggest
Code:
prog name icon command options
so I added "prog R /icon/path xterm -e R" and it worked. Thanks!
