Unhappy IBM x335 SCSI HD not found at debian installation time

I am sure this has already been answered but after 2 hours google-ing I could only make up a list of people like me describing the same non-solved problem:

Both of my 2 SCSI drives are detected and configured through the BIOS without problem, but when trying to install debian from the first installation CD, the RAID-1 controlled drives could not be found, I have tried all the different flavors of debian but without success.
There were something about boot-floppy but there again my researches drove me nowhere. Can someone help please ?

install the sarge net-installer pre-rc2

at the boot prompt, press F1 and F3, look for any parameters that deal with SCSI, kernel 2.6, etc
