i386 install and forcedeth

Quick thing. I installed the 64 bit version of Debian but was having problems with trying to get a 32 bit enviroment working, so I figured I'd go back and use the i386 version for now. I have an nForce 4 chipset with onboard networking. Now, when I was installing the AMD64 version, I had no problem with the card. Just select forcedeth and I'm good to go. With the i386, though, it will not load the module. It comes back and says that it can't find the card (wants irq and io which I have no cluse as to what they are for that). Any ideas why the AMD64 install found it while the i386 seems to be totally lost? Anything I'm missing here? Thanks.

Boot to the Debian i386 disc; when it puts you at the boot prompt,
type in
then enter.
Select forcedeth from the network module list and it should now load just

Have a great day!

Hesperidae is right, in order to have your Nforce4 detected select the 2.6 kernel option.
When I tried my 1st Debian install I lost almost a complete day because I didn't R.T.F.M. and was trying to install the 2.4 kernel on my Nforce motherboard.
In order to have the onboard sound I think you'll have to install the Nforce driver downloaded from Nvidia anyway.
