I want to use Java

Hi every body
I want to try the java langage ( I use C/C++ ) , I want to install it on my debian.
Is it the standard CD, or where to find it.
If some one ( sure there is) know how to start it first, ( ex : compiling is it like C otr C++).

any help to start it, is welcome

Try: apt-get install free-java-sdk

Its a complete enviroment for details on the packages it contains see the package's page at debian.

more? see blackdown.org ... sun has it's own .deb packages offical packages for debian.
