I want a "users" group for files.
Other Linux distros have a "users" group by default and place all new users in it insted of putting each user in their own group, Is there a quick switch to flip or file to change to make that happen in Debian or must it be done by hand?

Adding users to a new group works in Debian just like it works in other distros:

$ su
# adduser user_name group_name
# exit

Not what i ment. By default, each time I make a new user it makes a new group for them and has any files they create default into that group, which is somewhat defeating the point of the 3 level permissions.

I want it to never make new groups for new users and simply have them default all to the same group.
