HP Pavilion a400n Kernel - Reboot

I am trying to install 3.1 r1 from the Net-install CD. When I boot from the Debian CD it passes the initd messages and says OK booting the kernel...then it reboots. I have tried every boot parameter in the help screens to no avail and pretty much a combination of them as well...yes the machine does have the onboard Intel video chipset with no physical memory...845 I believe. Has anyone experienced these issues before?
I have tried to find the full DVD ISO but they all say 375mb for the file size. The file size doesn't seem right so I could also use some advice on that please.
Would the DVD ISO make any difference or do I have a different problem?
Thanks to all..!
