How to turn an old computer to a mp3 player?

Hi, I have an old computer, which has ram of 64mb and it was originally made to run windows 98. Rather than throw it away, I am wondering whether it is possible to turn it in to a mp3 or other format music player.

The thing I want for this "mp3 player' is that when it boot, it will automatically start to play music. Of course, it will connect to a keyboard and with the keyboard you can choose the music.

With screen is fine, however, the thing must have is to put music in to the old computer using a usb.

Thanks for any suggestion.

P.S Best for minimum requirement for a monitor, as I only have one monitor.

There are any number of players, like mpg321. For front-ends you can look at juke, plait, cplay, cmus - the list goes on. If you have an IR remote and an IR port on the computer you can even look at "irmp3". You can even stream audio using a number of servers if you wish.
