how to set up apt, amavis, spamassasin etc auto updates? help

'm new in linux so I have to ask you guys some questions...
I've set up pop3 mail server using postfix+mysql, amavis, spamassasin and it's working excellent.

1. How to to set apt-get to update hourly and to notify me about updateded packages by email?
2. How to set up amavis, spamassasin and clamav to update and notify me by email if there is a virus in some mail?

Thanx in advance, I really need your help!

cron

If you installed the packages using a package manager, I would think you could use the set up a cron job to update them on a regular basis:
