I have a Debian distro 3.0 r1 with XFree86 version 4.1.0.1
I want to set the resolution to 1024x768 while the default is 640x480. I changed the resolution in the xfree86-4.cfg file but nothing!!! How can I set the resolution??? Thanks.
well im very very new to this but i had to specify my monitor and its specs to get mine to go any higher than 800x600. so edit the monitor section of the XF86Config. if im wrong someone please correct me
Thanks. But the dpkg-reconfigure command modify my configuration only if I run it in the graphic interface, not in the console. I don't know why, it's strange!
