How to set consolefont for regular user?
 

debian8 is a regular user on my os(debian8+lxde).
To open LXterminal when to login into with a regular user.

To get the default font set.

The default font size is 10px,it is small.

Now let's customize the font as 14px.

It is unluck that when you reboot pc the default font size for regular user turn into 10px no matter which font you choose to set and click ok to save the configure.
I want to know why?
Can i set a script on /home/debian8/.bashrc to set font size for user debian8?

Works here. You should click validate twice:

• Once on the small window whose title is "Choose a font"
• Then on the main preferences window whose title is "LXTerminal"

Then your setting for this user will be stored in ~/.config/lxterminal/lxterminal.conf

There is no need to use a script for that. Also, the font used is not a console font as the X server uses other fonts than the Linux console.

But bear in mind that this is a per user setting, so it won't hold for another regular user.

It can orientate you a bit more... loadkeys sthg.
the user can load the key map. Check into /usr/share there are numerous type of keyboards (tar.gz files) ...

"loadkeys sthg." requires superuser privileges. at least it does on the 2 distros i'm using (debian, archlinux). i don't think there's anything you can do about it.

loadkeys loads a kernel keymap.

This is in no way related to the OP's issue which is to set the size of a font for X to be used in LXterminal and keep this setting.
