How to resolve black screen on Kali Linux on Windows 10 subsystem?
When I use Desktop Environments like GNOME or KDE or LXDE or XFCE in Kali Linux on Windows 10 subsystem, after a few minutes, I see black screen when I use xRDP and I use RDP ( Remote Desktop Protocol )
How can I resolve my problem? |

Kali assumes that the user has a Masters degree ( or equivalent ) in computer sciences and is a very experienced linux and Networking user / Administrator
so do you have a 6 year degree from a Univ. in CS ? |
This is not a Linux question, it is a Windows question.
Reported thread to request move to appropriate forum. [rant] it's ok that windows offers a linux subsystem, but it's not ok that it generates even more stress on all the linux communities. Let MS deal with that. i'm already sceptical about many virtualisation questions, but this Windows subsystem takes the cake. [/rant] |

By the way, you can drop your hand and be wait for the good answer Because, must of people have degree like you and they need to learn more and more like you too. I have 2 suggestion for you: 1. close this topic and be wait for the good answer OR 2. close your mouth |

you don't know Who and Where is here and you don't know anything about my biography so you can wait for answer if you can do it, without any marginal question |
are you planning in " testing in " and taking the "offensive Security " classes on the Kali web site ?
https://www.kali.org/penetration-tes...th-kali-linux/ and YES these are POST GRAD level courses and have you registered on the Kali forum ? http://forums.kali.org/ this also sounds like the MICROSOFT bug that was reported about that release for windows |

Microsoft have any new released update about this bug? And are you sure about this problem? ( really, you think this is a bug ) |

Ask the question is not a reason for disability Meanwhile, I have no claim But I'm not ignorant like some of the people |
You have posted in a Debian subforum. This subforum is for pure Debian, not the hundreds of distros based on it.
You are likely to get little sympathy from the members here, Kali Linux is an advanced distribution meant for penetration testing by professionals. The best advice I can give is to spend your time with another distro. Secondly, if you absolutely feel that you must use Kali [which you don't need to], go to the Kali forums/MS forums and ask there. You're just wasting your time here. |
Kali Linux is specifically tailored to the needs of penetration testing professionals, and therefore all documentation on this site assumes prior knowledge of, and familiarity with, the Linux operating system in general. Please see Should I Use Kali Linux? for more details on what makes Kali unique.
Turn off the screen saver / power-saving features in both OSs and try again. |

You were told, very plainly, that you SHOULD NOT be using Kali. If you want to, then the makers of Kali assume you have the knowledge and skill to fix those errors on your own. You apparently do not. Kali, AGAIN, is not meant to be used as you're using it. And AGAIN...coming here and telling people to "close your mouth" will get you absolutely NOTHING. If you want to behave like that, then don't expect help. |
Have you looked here?

Hey listen,
Everyone here is right, if you cannot figure out something that simple you really should not be using Kali. What would be the reason for someone inexperienced to use Kali in the first place? It has no practical uses for the casual user. With that being said, have you tried restarting. You are using it on the widows subsystem. Then try the following: sudo /etc/init.d/xrdp restart That should work. However my suggestion would be to get rid of Kali and try something a bit more fun (for the casual user) such as Ubuntu. Have a nice day. |
