How to make a knoppix live CD?

I am interested in making my own Live CD out of my Knoppix 3.7 installation. I followed the procedure outlined here:

which was made for Slakware. I installed busybox-1.00, ovlfs-2.0.0 and squashfs-tools. Then I used linux-live-4.2.4 scripts to create the live CD for kernel 2.4.22 and RaiserFS and also for Ext3 system. I was able to make the live CD, but when I start it it tells me:

Warning: Unable to open an initial console
and stops there.

Is there any simmiler scripts for Knoppix?

Did you try the knoppix remaster how-to:

This is a newer version then I used, but the 3.5 version worked perfectly.

Thants alot for the great help. It is an excellent Howto to remaster Knoppix. I was able to add and remove packages to my Knoppix 3.7 Live CD and get it to work.

However, it lacks two things:
1- How to get to kde as a user? I would like to make changes to the desktop. for examlple, I would like to delete and add some icons to the main panel in the user space. It works for root but not user.
2- How to build an iso if the distro uses GRUB (like Mepis) instaed of isolinux?
