how to know what is the nearest repository

Hi, I will install debian stable in a new laptop, in my country there is an official repo but I'm not sure if choose it is the best option, because in my country the ISPs don't have a backbone, so it is probably that if I want to connect to my country repo maybe I'm going trough Miami or LA or something else, so my question is:

is there a command to help me to choose what is the nearest repo to me?

regards

use 'netselect' to find the fastest server from a list of servers you provide, or use 'netselect-apt' to find the fastest repo server and automatically generate a sources.list to use that server. Or http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/Apt-spy
