how to install 'screen' ?


anyone knows where can i install screen on linux debian...because i need to install srcds but i get no command found screen..than i found out it need to install and i google it but can't find it...i need step by step if you help me ill give you thank

If I understand you correctly one of the following two commands should work.
Code:
sudo apt-get install screen
su -c "apt-get install screen"
The first one needs your password, the second one needs root password.

i did apt-get install screen it get something require cdrom?

Hm. Your system is configured to use DVD as the default package source. I guess you should edit your /etc/apt/sources.list as root.
Code:
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ lenny main contrib non-free
should be added. Mentions of cdrom should be removed. Afterwards run
Code:
apt-get update
