how to configure PCMCIA on Debian

Hello,
I've been trying to configure my pcmcia (microsoft's mn-520) card on debian for a week by now and the pressure's getting into me. I'm totally new to linux, I've tried going to the control center but it seems that debian only sees my ethernet card (there is no pcmcia icon anywhere). when I connect my card before booting the system freezes on booting right at the point when it accesses my card (and it makes a beep). does anyone know what I should do.
I'd really appreciate it

Hi,

first figure out which chipset this card is using, after that, go here:

http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/ftp/SUPPORTED.CARDS

and check out if your card is supported.

If Yes: try to google around a bit, an look for a solution :)
If No: Look at "If Yes" ;)
